Cardio-vascular exercise is also very important as your lungs, heart and circulatory system are very necessary for the distribution of cellular nutrition.

A good treadmill will exercise both of these important areas of your body, your legs and cardio-vascular system. The machines may be programmed for varying resistance, speed and duration of the exercise cycle. They may also be programmed for intermittent exercise; a program of varying speeds and resistance during one exercise cycle.
